I was given the opportunity to showcase BLAIR's Spring Collection at the Black Women Expo for the first time. The McCormick Place was PACKED! There were so many vendors and people supporting each other for the fun filled weekend. It's rare to have full control of your model choice for a show. Usually you select the models that the fashion show producer selects in a model call. It's always a challenge to get a diverse size of plus models to really showcase plus size fashion. I am so proud of these ladies that ranged from a size 10-12 to 26-28! The ladies rocked the runway with confidence and grace! My beautiful models in their 2nd look. You can grab these looks instore or online.

I was excited to attend Sabrina's, owner of Divine Sole Boutique, Fashion Show. I heard her boutique was beautiful and it did not disappoint! The ambiance was wonderful. She showcased hot fashions for all sizes. Also there was great food and a live band during intermission! Posing with the ladies: fellow boutique owners Sabrina and Kaneda from PJ's Closet Boutique. Saw my favorite sisters Kai and Latoya owners of Vixen Style Studios. For my outfit, I wanted something sexy yet edgy. I went with my one shoulder faux leather dress from Chocolate Sushi Couture and layered it with a lace crop top from BLAIR. My fishnets are of course The Ice Cream Lady, clutch from Fashionable Addictions, and my shoes were from Aldos. Do you like this look?
I love fashion shows and supporting my fellow Chicago boutique owners. Sunday evening I was able to attend Fashionable Addictions Gala in the West Side of Chicago. The show had high energy , great music, and was hosted by Demi Lobo -WGCI radio personality. The fashion was sexy and edgy! This show was not for the boring. I was able to snap a picture of Demi hosting. She looked beautiful! My date for the night was Plus Model Kyla Halima. She is wearing BLAIR's sheer sleeved metallic dress. She looked great! Grabbed a quick pic with the owner of Fashionable Addictions and the producer of the event Dannie. I am a firm believer that accessories make or break your outfit. I was able to take a simple outfit and edge it up with my accessories. BLAIR restocked on one of our favorite independent designers, Ready-to-Stare. This gold chain belt is EVERYTHING! I got sooo many compliments on it! I completed the look with BLAIR's faux croc clutch. It also comes in copper and red. Like the outfit or nah? Comment below.
Yesterday I was invited to a fab fashion show hosted by The Status Group. This fashion show was as the Bridgeport Art Center in Chicago's Artsy Bridgeport area. The loft space was beautiful! I enjoyed networking and seeing the beautiful ladies from House of Collette (Chicago couture designers). My dress and clutch are from BLAIR.
